The lake

Last weekend we headed for the lake for what we thought would be a very relaxing weekend in the sun. Try again. Friday night a huge storm out of no where hit us at the lake. It was pretty close to a tornado. Tree branches were flying everywhere, we were watching boats and jet skiis float by with no passengers, docks were falling apart and pieces were everywhere, and we lost electricity. By the way no electricity and of course no flashlights with two 3 year olds and two 1 year olds is interesting. Thank goodness for the light on our cellphone. Luckily the power came back on during the middle of the night. Saturday was spent cleaning up the yard and scoping out the damage on the lake. After the clean up was over the kids finally got to do what they came to do. FISH! And yes both big kids caught their own fish. Thank goodness.
